Mentioning Aalborgs historical landmarks would not be complete without a mention of the Kongelig Toldkammer & Toldbodsplads. This is the Royal Duty Chamber in Aalborg. The building was built in 1902 and designed by architect Hack Kampmann. Its location was the reason it was a harbor for trade ships. It has been recently restored. The mansion shows the Danish romantic style of design and has won multiple awards for both design and appeal. It has a beautiful fountain from which you will occasionally hear an overture from Georg Friedrich Händels Water Music.
