Things To Do In Barcelona At Night: Party In The Heart Of Catalonia

Spain, specifically located in the Catalonia region, Barcelona is known for the hospitality and feeling welcomed. People of all backgrounds can feel like they’re at home, even when they do not speak a word of Spanish or Catalan. Barcelona’s nightlife scene highly reflects that hospitality and inclusiveness by providing both locals and foreigners with a large variety of attractions, from quiet bars to glamorous clubs. Here is a diverse list of Barcelona’s best nightlife locations for anyone who does not want to sit on their own couch, or hotel couch for that matter, while being in Barcelona.

1. Opium Barcelona

Starting with a bang, in the first position on our list is Barcelona’s most famous party location - Opium. This prestigious and glamorous club will make sure to give you the experience of your life, aligning perfectly with Barcelona’s aesthetic. A beautiful lounge bar that merges into a cocktail bar that then merges into an extensive dance club, spotlessly designed to resemble the Mediterranean style and create a tropical, exotic and luxurious experience for their local and foreign guests. Spacious interiors definitely add to the luxurious vibe of the club and will make you feel like an attendant of the Oscar’s afterparty. If you love to dress up, go out looking your absolute best and impress everyone around you, Opium is the perfect place for you to bring a little glamour into your life.

Posted by El Paraigua on Friday, 19 June 2015

Slowing it down a little, I present to you El Paraigua. This cozy venue located in the Gothic Quarter is a great destination for those who do not necessarily like to dance their hearts out, but rather enjoy a few pints or glasses of wine with their friends. The interior is raw and resembles an old wine cellar, which perfectly aligns with the style present in that part of the city. Apart from the great atmosphere, El Paraigua offers great live music in its cocktail lounge, which will further intensify your experience. The place also offers a menu with great food, so if you are feeling hungry, there will always be something delicious waiting for you in their menu’s pages. This is a place most likely to be enjoyed by old souls, but obviously everyone is welcome to come in and experience this place’s charm.

Continuing the more relaxed theme, here is Harlem Jazz Club. Recognized as Barcelona’s best jazz club, it attracts many artists, the less and better known ones, to the most adored live music stage in Catalonia. Located in the Gothic Quarter, it has a raw and gloomy vibe to it, which fits perfectly with the jazzy music performed inside its walls. Here you can enjoy a glass of wine, whisky, beer or any other alcohol of your choice, surrounded by the magical atmosphere emanating from the bar and the live performances, creating a unique experience. This place would most likely be best appreciated by jazz enthusiasts, but for anyone who is looking for an unforgettable experience amongst amazing music in Barcelona’s coziest district, Harlem Jazz Club is definitely worth your attention.

4. Sidecar Factory Club

Sidecar Factory Club is a juvenile, unpretentious party location for all the indie rock loving people. This club is the perfect place where partying and great music meet. To accommodate the majority of their audience and clientele, they offer inexpensive drinks and live performances every weekend. The interior has an intense decor; the lighting of the venue is intensely red and the walls are raw bricks. This puts a punk-ish, rebellious and grungy atmosphere in this venue. For all the fans of great indie rock music, this place would not only be perfect to experience amazing live performances in a raw and rock-y atmosphere, but also will give an opportunity to let loose and get even the stiffest hips moving.
