Hayden City is located around Hayden Lake in the Idaho state of the United States. It is a beautiful city spread across 9.61 square miles (24.89 square kilometres). It was known as Hayden Village earlier, and on June 27, 1955 was incorporated into Hayden City. Hayden is famous for its beautiful landscape and a number of lakes that were formed due to glacial flooding of the area in the past. English Point Recreation Area offers some great hiking and riding trails. These trails are suitable for both beginners and intermediate hikers. This is a picture-perfect area surrounded by beautiful trees which also offers a variety of trails. Be it walking, riding a horse, or riding a mountain bike, this is a great place for anyone looking for a couple of hours away from the maddening rush of the city.

Honeysuckle is a beautiful beach with enough to provide for a great day’s outing. There is a small parking lot for anyone deciding to arrive by their own vehicle. There is ample area for swimming. The view of the lake is mesmerising and this place is perfect for anyone looking for a walk. For people planning to spend a day on water, boat rentals are close by.

Raptor Reef Indoor Water Park is so much fun with lots of activities to offer the entire family. Rides and slides are great and people of all age groups have something to look forward to. Prices are reasonable and the food is good without being very expensive. The employees and lifeguards are friendly and enthusiastic. Being indoor, it is a great go-to destination any time of the year!

Hayden City Park was renamed McIntyre Family Park In January 2016. This was done to felicitate and recognize the services of former Mayor Ronald B. McIntire and his wife, Joanne. The origins of this park date back to 1960 and it houses a number of memorials, including the Robert J. Gordon Veterans Memorial Plaza. It also houses the fire station, city hall, community center, and other park facilities. The park has a big basketball court to enjoy a great game of basketball with family and friends.

Finucane Park is spread over 10 acres (4 hectares). It was established in the year 1990 and was donated by the wife of a World War II veteran, Charles C. Finucane, in his memory. The park has a number of amenities including two covered gazebos, different playground equipment, and restrooms for the public. This place is situated in the middle of the town but once inside, you get so much peace and calm that it doesn’t feel like it. The property is beautiful and well-maintained and so are the horses. They are fed the best-quality hay and fresh water. The staff is courteous and helpful and the environment is friendly for any level of rider. The tracks are well-maintained and the views are mesmerizing, which is just a cherry on the top.

Kilted Growler Tap House has an impressive tap list of around 56 taps! This includes four red wines, two white wines, two kombucha, one root bear, four ciders, and forty three craft beers, to cater to both beer drinkers and wine drinkers. Good ambience, super friendly staff, and some great music all make this one of the must visit spots in the area. They do not serve food but allow food from outside, which makes it pretty convenient! The place can accommodate 40 people at any given time.

Opened in 2014, Stoddard Park is one of Hayden’s newest parks. It was purchased in the year 2005 by the City of Hayden and the main aim was to protect the heritage of the agricultural community of the area. It spans just over 2 acres (0.8 hectare) and is located between Strawberry Fields and Stoddard Meadows. It houses a dairy barn and a silo that were there before the park was taken over by the city. It is an ideal spot for a day’s picnic with family and friends. It also has other features like a botanical garden, the pastures, restrooms, and walking paths.

The staff are knowledgeable and provide some great insights into aviation and space, and the work of scientists who have changed the lives of people. There is a play area for kids outside once they explore the museum. This is a must-visit museum for anyone visiting North Idaho.

The Tipsy Pine bar and grill in Hayden offers some delicious yet low-priced food and drinks. With a great rotating selection of beers coupled with some good service, this is a nice place to unwind before hitting home. The atmosphere here is fun with pool table, darts, and shuffleboard available for guests and some nice music playing in the background. Outdoor seating in the summer is really nice and they have some good music playing outside on certain nights of the week. Karaoke nights are held once in a while and it makes this place all the more involving and fun.
