In Singapore, infrastructures tend to be high-rise buildings, which, in a way, is understandable considering the limited availability of land. While the structures there were built in that way because of practicality, these do provide plenty of opportunities for travelers to enjoy views that overlook the city. After all, what better way to enjoy the sights than by getting a birds-eye view of your surroundings? Take your pick among the top rooftop bars in Singapore if you want to enjoy a feast for your senses: your eyes when you take in the views, and your palate when you enjoy the food and drinks offered by each of these establishments.
1. CE LA VI
CE LA VI’s location - right on top of the Marina Bay Sands Complex - already gives you an indication that this is a luxury destination, but the panoramic views alone may just be worth the price tag of going here. Entrance itself is free, but the drinks can be pretty pricey, with prices starting at around 20 USD. Besides the bar itself, the area also features a restaurant and a swimming pool, all areas of which allow guests to enjoy breathtaking views of the city. You can get to CE LA VI by entering the Skypark Hotel Lobby Tower 3 in Marina Bay Sands.

2. 1-Altitude
Promoted as the highest al fresco bar across the globe, 1-Altitude is definitely the place to go to for those who want to feel like they’re on top of the world. This venue allows guests to enjoy 360-degree views of the city. The bar’s modern furnishings only help add to the classy yet chic vibe. Guests are charged with a cover fee upon entrance, although this price is already inclusive of one drink. Pro tip: women can enjoy a free drink on Wednesdays, which is Ladies’ Night. Do make sure to make your reservations before heading here if you want to have sure seats.

3. LeVel 33
If 1-Altitude is the highest al-fresco bar in the world, LeVel 33 is the highest microbrewery across the globe. Many of the beers served here, in fact, have been brewed on location. If you’re not sure which of the brews to try, the bar offers a sampler of five beers. Cocktails and wines are served here as well. Take your pick from the list of the drinks and food (the bar serves European cuisine, a well as your typical pub grub) even as you enjoy the views of the Marina Bay.

4. SuperTree by IndoChine
Besides the Merlion, perhaps the most easily distinguishable landmark in Singapore is the SuperTree Grove in the Gardens by the Bay. Did you know that the highest Supertree is actually a restaurant and bar? Guests have two options to enjoy their food and drinks: the indoor restaurant, or the outdoor one, which is right on top of the Supertree. Food and drinks are served at the rooftop daily from 5 pm to 1 am.

Gaze upon the Keppel Harbour and Island Resort Sentosa as you order a cocktail or two at the Propeller Bar found right at the top of the Bay Hotel. Treat yourself to their eclectic selection of drinks, which draws inspiration from landmarks across the globe, such as the I Fear Tower (Eiffel Tower) or the Hello Bay (Halong Bay) cocktails all while lounging to scenic sunset views.
Beyond their usual offerings, the bar organizes themed events such as their latest Wanderlust Party Series.
6. Kinki Rooftop Bar

Kinki Rooftop Bar’s tagline is “‘Japanese with urban attitude”, which is a very good description of the establishment. The menu is predominantly Japanese, but the graffiti and the decors in the restobar help create a casual atmosphere. While the venue is not in a high-rise building like most of the establishments on this list, it does provide guests with great views, as it directly faces the Marina Bay Sands (if you want to watch the light show from here, be sure to arrive before 8 pm). Live bands or DJs churn out tunes to keep diners entertained.

7. Lantern at Fullerton Bay Hotel

Lantern takes its name from the former moniker of Clifford Pier, Red Lantern Pier, so called because it is lit by red lanterns that lined it during the earlier years of Singapore. Like Kinki Rooftop Bar, Lantern directly faces the Marina Bay Sands, making this a great place to grab a drink while watching the light show. If you like cocktails, a must-try on the menu is the Imperial Berry Mojito, the bar’s signature drink. There’s a pool in the area as well, so you can take a dip here if you want to cool off after spending a day under the warm Singapore sun. Happy hour is from 11 am to 6 pm.

8. Loof
Located within walking distance from the city hall, Loof is the original rooftop bar of Singapore. While newer establishments have since overtaken it in terms of height and offered views, it continues to be a favorite, not just because of nostalgia, but also because its quirky charm and casual vibe continue to appeal to people. Happy hour here is from 5 pm to 11:30 pm. Live DJs and yummy food help create a fun vibe for partygoers looking to spend a good time in the bar.

9. HI-SO Rooftop Bar
So named because it rests atop the Sofitel Hotel, HI-SO Rooftop Bar is one of the newer rooftop bars in Singapore. Despite being the new kid on the block, it already has its own share of fans because of its tasty designer cocktails and bite-sized goodies, as well as its golden-tiled infinity pool, the only one of its kind in the city. Women can enjoy a free glass of champagne from 6-9 pm on Wednesdays.

One of the newest rooftop bars in Singapore, Mr. Stork is located on the 39th floor of the Andaz. Unlike other bars that have been set up as party scenes, this is a quiet location, making this a great destination for those who want to enjoy a drink or two while having a conversation with someone. Teepees scattered all over the bar provide a fun alternative to standard couches.

If you can’t decide whether to grab a drink or catch a movie, head on over to the Screening Room to do both. Located in a beautifully restored building in Chinatown, this restobar provides guests with magnificent views of Singapore’s skyline. The bar isn’t that big, so it’s a good idea to make reservations if you plan to bring a big group here.
