Conil de la Frontera is a town on the Atlantic coast in the southern part of Spain. Boasting of six beaches, namely Playa La Fontanilla, Playa El Roqueo (with a 1936 Civil War bunker), Playa Fuente del Gallo, Playa Punta Lejos, Playa Cala del Aceite and Playa los Bateles, the town is one of the most popular vacation towns in the country.
Conil de la Frontera has many official fiestas: the romeria de San Sebastian, on the Sunday nearest to 20 January; the spring feria, El Colorado, in the first week of June; traditional seaside festivals of Noche de San Juan and Virgen del Carmen; the town’s patron saint, Nuestra Señora de las Virtudes, is celebrated around 8 September; Los Pajaritos on 31 October. 2. Sancha Pérez Bodega Almazara

Sancha Pérez Bodega Almazara is a popular traditional winery. You get to learn how wine is being processed, from picking the best grapes, crushing the grapes and extracting the juice, to converting the juice into ethanol and carbon dioxide. 4. Cabo Roche
Cabo Roche boasts of a sandy beach with a spectacular cliff and views. There’s a long boardwalk where you can walk, jog or to simply stoll in nature. The water can get super cold during colder climates, but come summer, the place is full of beachgoers.

6. Arco de La Villa
Arco de La Villa is a historical landmark with parts of the building turned into a hotel, with a dramatic setting and sea views. Besides sightseeing, you can also do some shopping and alfresco dining here.

7. Torre de Guzman
The historical observation deck/tower oversees a breathtaking sea view and is a 5-minute walk from Los Bateles Beach. Part of it has been turned into a hotel in a building dating from 1733. The hotel is also a minute’s walk from both Museo Raíces Conileñas and a lively street filled with restaurants.

8. Playa de La Fontanilla
Another must-visit beach for beach lovers, the urban beach of Playa de la Fontanilla provides a very special insight into the world of high society. You’ll get a real “Marbella feel” here - it’s all about seeing and being seen. There are two promenades to stroll along. One is at beach level, which is covered and has restaurants and beach bars. The second is a little higher and is a long palm-lined promenade where more restaurants await, as well as places to shop.
