Tip from tour guide
Fatehpur Sikri is built on the ruins of a 13th-century monument belonging to King Dham Dev. During the attack of Alauddin Khilazi, it was abandoned and again inhabited and again abandoned in 1526 during Babur and Rana Sanga war.
It is a UNESCO site and entirely made up of Red Sandstone which was locally quarried.
It is quite spacious and differs from Agra Fort where buildings are close to each other. During excavations in a nearby mound, quite a few Jain statutes were found which have been placed in a museum at Fatehpur Sikri monument.

Tip from Content Creator
If you’re wondering if the Taj Mahal is worth the hype, it is! It's busy, don’t get me wrong, but there's nothing like seeing this beautiful monument to love in the flesh. You will walk around with your jaw on the ground, whilst you are trying not to take your eyes off it and dodging the crowds at the same time. It was genuinely such a ‘pinch me’ moment; I couldn’t believe we were there, seeing such an iconic building with our own eyes. One thing I found incredibly strange though was that it still didn’t feel real. I think seeing it in so many photos/movies made me feel like I was still seeing it in a photograph even though it was right in front of me!

The beauty of Agra is remarkable!
As we saw, Agra offers beautiful insights into ancient architecture marvels. Visiting Agra will be an experience for you to cherish forever. The Taj Mahal was created by Emperor Shah Jahan for his queen Mumtaz. Imagine the affection and love between them! Visit Agra and you will get a glimpse of that love for sure.
Tip from tour guide
When the empress closed her eyes, one last tear fell from her beautiful eyes and ran down her cheeks. The wounded emperor wiped the tear from the face of his beloved and then built her a mausoleum that looked like 'An Eternal Tear.'
Mumtaz Mahal's body was bathed by the maidens with cold camphor and rose water and wrapped in five pieces of cloth. Four close relatives carried her body to the burial site. She was temporarily buried in the garden on the banks of the Tapti River, her body oriented north to south with her face facing west, toward Mecca.
Shah Jahan was in mourning for 40 days. He only dressed in white clothes, and his hair turned white. He visited the grave at night and cried until dawn. He hardly ate and didn't listen to music.
