Barbacco provides a casual atmosphere for great Italian cuisine from all of Italy’s varying regions. A small trattoria located in a small town on the Ligurian coast inspired this atmosphere. Lunch starters include marinated olives, toasted almonds, bruschetta, and salumi. Lunch salads include smoked salmon salad and insalata di fragole. Pastas include rigatoni alla bolognese, fettucine, and farrotto. For dinner, appetizers include seared octopus, baby beets and strawberry salad, and burrata di stefano. Octavia’s award-winning chef, Melissa Perello, is committed to providing a meal that is committed to sustainability and the use of resources straight from the Bay Area. It is named after the street it is located on and provides a comfortable environment. Octavia has an open floor plan and makes use of natural lighting. The open kitchen faces the 55-seat dining room, and showcases the building’s 19th century influence. They exclusively serve dinner, which includes a variety of dishes. Dinner items include deviled eggs, chilled squid ink noodles, duck liver mousse, Wagyu tartare, tagliatelle, king salmon, Sonoma duck breast, and their unique take on dumplings. Dessert includes toasted angel cake, blueberry tartlet, caffe roman parfait, and salted chocolate torte.

The Italian Homemade Company provides some of the highest quality pasta in San Francisco. There are three locations throughout the city as well as in Berkeley. There are many different varieties of flatbread sandwiches, and you can choose from either piadina or cassone bread. Salads include garden, oven baked tomato, burrata, buffala, and caprese. You can also choose a variety of fresh pastas that include fettuccine, tagliatelle, pappardelle, gnocchi, vegetarian ravioli, meat ravioli, and tortellini. Sauces include bolognese, pasticciata, meatballs, marinara, pesto, white, and butter and sage. The Italian Homemade Company also has their own homemade specialties that include meat lasagna, veggie lasagna, gnocco roll, meatballs platter, and tagliere.
