About Backpackers Inn

Established in early 2015, Backpackers Inn, Kaohsiung, is an expansion of the famous Backpackers Inn, Taipei. The hostel was built to accommodate different types of travelers from all over the globe who would like to explore Kaohsiung City. Backpackers Inn is located in a very convenient location, surrounded by various famous attractions in Kaohsiung. The hostel provides a very fun and colorful vibe for travelers, along with comfy rooms and great services.

Rooms and services

Backpackers Inn offers both private and dorm rooms, all of which uses access cards. Private rooms at the hostel include double to quadruple private rooms with complimentary breakfast. For the dorm rooms, the hostel provides both single and double beds; options that are not really common in dorm rooms. The beds are equipped with lockers, night lights, and sockets; stairs are provided instead of ladders for those sleeping on the top bunk, which is an additional detail for the safety. Unfortunately, breakfast is not complimentary for guests in the dorm rooms.

Services at Backpackers Inn are what any traveler can hope for. The hostel provides a lounge, a restaurant, and a kitchen with various utensils. Self-laundry service can be found at the rooftop, which is also a lounge on its own that offers a splendid view of the city. Computers are available for guests to use as well as the TV in the main lounge area. Backpackers Inn also provides luggage storage, free Wi-Fi, and 24-hour reception with great staff.

The hallways are also painted with different color and art, and inside the room are murals that were created by the staff; they participated in an art class to specially hand paint the walls of the hostel. The hostel and its surroundings

Backpackers Inn is located in a very nice spot in the city. It is a three-minute walk from the Central Park MRT station and also the famous shopping district, Xinkuchan. From the airport or train station, travelers can take the red line train and get down at Central Park. The journey would cost about 20 NTD (approximately 0.80 USD).

Surrounding the Backpackers Inn is Xin Xing District, one of the most famous districts in Kaohsiung City, and there are plenty of destinations to visit such as Central Park, Linya Night Market, and Xinkuchan Commercial District.
