If you like to see more of the artistic and historical sides of Florence whilst staying away from the crazy parties, choose your accommodation wisely. Located near the Rifredi Station and within walking distance to the city centre, Ciao Hostel is an excellent choice of hostel to relax. Below are some of the reasons why I highly recommend a stay at Ciao Hostel.

The surrounding green atmosphere is rare

There’s a small garden on the ground floor of the hostel, making a wonderful green atmosphere for the accommodation. Though there’s no common lounge for get-together events, the receptionists are kind and will help you with getting out and around. You will experience an alternative way of traveling on a low budget in calm environment, rather than in other backpacker hostels.

You get an excellent view from the top floor

Travelers to Florence often seek the best viewpoints of the city including famous ones such as Michelangelo Piazza or Giotto’s Bell Tower. The dream view of Florence can now be right at your doorstep. The top floor of the Ciao Hostel offers an excellent viewpoint for visitors. From here you can easily reach the main attractions, such as the Florence Cathedral and the Vecchio Bridge, on foot. Enjoy a cup of espresso outside while getting some fresh air on the balcony is a brilliant way to start your day exploring Italy.

There's good privacy inside their rooms

There are 15 rooms in total throughout the hostel’s three floors including double rooms, 3-bed dorms and 4-bed dorms. There are no larger dorms, enabling better privacy and a more relaxing atmosphere for guests. There’s a television, a big size closet, a table and chairs in each room for ultimate convenience. There’s also free Wi-Fi and plenty of outlets to charge your devices. Though there’s no private locker, feel free to ask the receptionist to store your important belongings. A laundry service is available in another building across the street.

The kitchens and other facilities are modern

If you wish to stay out of the hectic and crazy nightlife of Florence but love to have a midnight snack or late supper, enjoy cooking at the 24-hour open kitchen that can be found on each floor. All of the showers are also equipped with modern facilities and there’s even special showers for people traveling with wheelchairs. The whole hostel is probably one of the cleanest that I have been to throughout Europe.

Book your stay now and enjoy traveling in low season!

Between January and April as well as in September and November are the best times to travel in Florence. A dorm bed price starts from 32 EUR (roughly 35 USD). The room’s price range gets more expensive during peak seasons (summer months and December), with prices even doubling! During low seasons, you would also be able to enjoy the more spiritual atmosphere of this amazing old city without queuing or being surrounded by crowds of tourists. Book directly on their website to enjoy free cancellation or via hostelbookers, booking.com and hostelworld.
