Gauteng may be the smallest among the nine provinces in South Africa, but it is highly urbanized and it houses Johannesburg, one of the largest cities in the country. People love settling down here because it offers a massive number of job opportunities, has the finest infrastructures, and boasts diversity. Aside from Johannesburg, one of the most famous tourist destinations in the province is Magaliesberg, a mountain range mostly made up of quartzites. The province also has a number of national parks, safaris, museums, and nature reserves. These are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to exciting things you can discover in the province. If you are planning to stay here for a while, check out the best self-catering accommodations in Gauteng, South Africa, below.
