Donegal Irish Pub has very good service and it is a nice place to have a good time in Ancona. It is an awesome Irish bar that serves amazing cocktails. It’s an informal atmosphere with fast service and sometimes has live music. It’s a great place to stop in if you just want a beer, or you can have dinner and dessert here, too. They have a nice selection of beer on tap. This pub has been here in Ancona for many years and is a bit of an institution, well known to locals of all ages.

2. Bar Torino

Bar Torino is a local bit of history, with great cocktails and aperitifs. Highly recommended to tourists, it is a historical bar and a must-visit place, at night. Liberty Cocktail Lounge is located down an alley but it is very atmospheric. It features professional, attentive service and the waiters here can give good advice as to which cocktails to choose. The cocktails are served with snacks and are reasonably priced. Fabio, the bartender is a great resource for those looking for a good wine and he is very knowledgeable. This is the most elegant cocktail bar in Ancona, so do check it out if you’re looking for a classy night out, with friends.

La Taverna del Monaco features spectacular meat dishes, as well as warm and friendly staff. They have a great selection of craft beer and tasty Angus beef. They focus on large portions for reasonable prices. The environment is a bit spartan but very clean and it is a nice and friendly place. There is also a great selection of homemade bitters here, so do make sure to ask for a recommendation.

5. King Edward

The King Edward has cheap vodka and the perfect atmosphere and it’s a very nice place to have an aperitif in the square. From Thursday to Saturday it is usually full and they have friendly and welcoming staff with fantastic cocktails. This is the place to go after dinner for an aperitif with friends. The Apericena is ideal if you want something for between dinner and your drinks. They have a good range of local cocktails and appetizers.

The Gasoline Road Bar is full of good people and a great selection of beers. It’s the perfect place to hang out with your friends and try some of their delicious fries and other snacks, all for a good price. The decor is well chosen and is built to look like an American garage. They have many beers on tap and a large choice of cocktails, as well. You can even try beers produced by the owner.
