12. Rustic treehouse from the 70s, Carbondale (from USD 352)
This rustic treehouse located in Lyon was built in the 1970s. The exterior of the house is attached to four spruce trees that are hanging about 25 feet (7.6 metres) off the ground. There is a beautiful rock staircase leading to the gorgeous space that is furnished with a full-size kitchen and a bathroom with a rock shower. The main sleeping area is upstairs, right on the loft, with two skylights! With that, you will be able to doze off under the stars, then wake up to some fresh air at the gorgeous balcony! This space definitely makes for a perfect treehouse adventure. If you want to bring your furry friend along, that’s an extra USD 25 per night. The area below the treehouse is really awesome as well, with a private mountain garden, picnic table, and a campfire area.
