1 C Barn was hand-built from the ground up by us as a family on land that my parents have owned for 25 years. We sourced tons of local lumber from a forest fire and it was an all-hands-on-deck operation. There is a one-of-a-kind spiral staircase inside built by the owner’s father (my grandfather) when he was in his 80s. He has since passed away so it’s super special to all of us. Our first major wedding there was my own and it was the rainiest weekend of the fall but we had an amazing experience.
We have lots of stories to share and lots of things that make the space “ours” but it was built to provide a low-cost wedding venue alternative to brides along the front range.
