Best Things To Do In And Around Borobudur, Indonesia
The world's biggest Buddhist temple, Borobudur, is located on Indonesia's Island Java, just a one-hour drive away from the popular city Yogjakarta. This fascinating site lets you travel back in time, and enjoy a unique combination of spirituality, history, culture and natural beauty. Borobudur was built in the 9th-century, but it wasn't until 1815 that it was rediscovered again, only to be buried under volcanic ash a little later. The temple has survived countless man-made and natural disasters, such as earthquakes, terrorist bombs and the many eruptions of the volcano Mount Merapi. Borobudur covers a large area, and is home to more than 2,600 relief panels and more than 500 Buddha statues. The region is Indonesia's most important centre for Buddhism, and although much of the temple's architecture reflects India's influence, many traditional Indonesian elements have been used. Set in beautiful greenery and surrounded by mountains, a visit to Borobudur is a truly unforgettable experience. Most visitors spend at least a few days in the area, as there is so much here to discover. There are many accommodation options available in the nearby towns of Yogjakarta, Solo or Magelang. But first, here is some great things to see and do in the area.

23 Activities For A Healing Journey In Bali, Indonesia, For Nature And Culture Lovers
Backpackers seeking a therapeutic retreat have always found solace on the Island of the Gods, a tropical paradise famed for its traditional Balinese healers, cleansing rituals, and spiritual awakening. Peppered by yoga studios and wellness-centric cafes overlooking lush rice paddies or scenic beaches, Bali became my tonic for distress. My morning strolls were filled with the soothing aroma of incense sticks and heaps of canang sari (daily offerings to Hindu deities) on doorsteps and small shrines. I witnessed a mystical performance called Kecak Dance amid a dramatic sunset from a clifftop amphitheater. Being spontaneously invited by locals to their sacred festival on a nearby island and learning to cook Balinese dishes from scratch were also core memories for me. Bali is indeed a rendezvous of culture and nature, leaving its visitors in awe. To have a blissful holiday experience, browse through these activities for a healing journey in Bali, Indonesia.

15 Eateries You Must Try In Royal Plaza Surabaya's Food Boulevard (From A Surabayan)
Like any other successful group company, Pakuwon Group also has an affordable shopping mall brand. In Surabaya, the company's shopping mall is South Surabaya's Royal Plaza, also known as the "Mall For Everyone," which has been in operation since 2006. The official website notes that this "Mall For Everyone" attracts around 50,000 (or perhaps more) visitors on weekends and public holidays. Going by what I've seen, Food Boulevard, the dedicated space for contemporary foods, is the main reason for the large crowds. Food Boulevard offers a range of food and beverage products priced at around 20,000-25,000 IDR (1.24-1.55 USD). These make the area attractive to locals and tourists, plus the unique meals offered, like the black-colored churros and gasoline-hosed iced tea, are fun must-try foodie experiences! Continue reading to explore more eateries you must try in Royal Plaza Surabaya's Food Boulevard!

Up Close & Personal Activities With Elephants At Way Kambas National Park, Indonesia
Lampung is a province located in the southern Sumatra island of Indonesia. It provides travelers with various intriguing and low cost attractions, one of which is Way Kambas National Park. Covering 1,300 sqm land area, this is the center for elephant training in Indonesia. There are around 100 Sumatran elephants living in the park. Half of them have been tamed for entertainment purposes and live together in a monitored area (the other half live freely in Way Kanan animal sanctuary, a part of the national park). These elephants have been tamed and they are trained to work in circuses. Whenever needed, these elephants are sent to different circuses all over Indonesia (they are rented by circus coordinators). So this place is where Indonesian circus elephants are from. What can you do in here?

There are so many things to see and do on the island, but when you are in Gianyar regency, Bali Marine and Safari Park is the must-visit destination. A safari park in Bali? Must-Visit: 5 Majestic And Historical Chinese Temples In Indonesia
Known as a country with thousands of tribes, Indonesia is also the home to around 6 million overseas Chinese immigrants. Although they make up less than 3% of Indonesia's total population, this is the largest number among the countries in Southeast Asia. Like overseas Chinese immigrants everywhere else around the world, these immigrants who mainly came from Fujian (福建) and the Guangdong (广东) province in China a few centuries ago, have brought their culture and traditions to Indonesia; including hundreds of Chinese temples spread across the archipelago. What can be found inside a Chinese temple? Apparently, there are many deities whom the Chinese believed to be 'enlightened beings’. Some examples include the Goddess of Mercy known as Guan Yin (观音) and the Laughing Buddha (笑佛) who is believed to bring luck, health, and prosperity. Below are the 5 most unique and historical Chinese temples in Indonesia, which are interesting to visit (free entrance for everyone), especially during the Chinese New Year where pilgrims gather to pray, and organise the traditional Chinese lion and dragon dance performances (舞龙舞狮) in and around these temples.

Travelling Bali From North To South: 1 Day Bali Itinerary
Travelling from one location to another in a foreign country brings with it both challenges and opportunities. There is the packing and schlepping of suitcases, organizing accommodations, the worry that you have left something behind and the stress of not being sure of exactly where you are going or what you will do when you get there. On the positive side, however, there is the wonder of the open road, the unlimited possibilities for adventure, and the excitement of never knowing who you will meet or what you will see. On a recent month long trip to Bali, we traversed the island from North to South in one day, and opted for the longer scenic route, stopping at a remarkable water palace and two craft villages.
Outdoor Activities

Kopeng Treetop Adventure Park was established in 2010 as part of a worldwide treetop network that first opened in the French Alps in 1995. It is located near Kopeng Natural Park (Taman Wisata Kopeng) in Kopeng Village, Getasan district, Central Java. Kopeng Treetop Adventure Park is situated at the foot of Merbabu Mountain. The location is surrounded by pine trees and the air is refreshingly cool. To get to the destination from the main road you still have to walk about 10 minutes along a small uphill road that’s just wide enough for one car to pass. Don't worry though; the cool air is very nice while you are walking.
