The Garden Pool is a part of Hotel New Otani in Tokyo. It is a well-known attraction in summer every year. However, at the time of writing, the hotel has been restricting its admission to only those guests who have booked under specific accommodation packages, which include the use of the pool. This has been done to maximize the safety and health of the employees, hotel guests, and pool visitors. Some of the safety measures, which are strictly being followed are temperature screening before entering the pool, reducing the number of admitted visitors, restricting the use of showers and locker rooms, and frequently disinfecting tabletops, chairs, etc.

There is a separate pool for the toddlers and a standard-size pool for the adults here. This also means the Resident Center Outdoor Swimming Pool is an excellent outing option for the entire family. It is not surprising to see the pool incredibly lively on weekend afternoons. This outdoor swimming pool is only a few steps from Meguro Station. At the time of writing, there are certain entrance restrictions. The admission to the pool has been restricted and the usage time has been curtailed to just two hours. The physical conditions of the swimmers are being checked before entering the pool.

Suginamiku Sports Shisetsuwadabori Park is an excellent sports facility, which not only boasts multiple swimming pools but also offers a football field and a modern gym. The park is set in a peaceful residential locality of the city so that you can take a dip in the pool at leisure. There are three outdoor pools here including one for the infants. Kids who are under the third grade of their school should come here with an individual over 16 years.

4. Setagaya Koen Swimming Pool

Setagaya Koen Swimming Pool is an excellent public swimming pool that is set in the center of Setagaya Park. Kids simply love to come here because the park offers so many attractions apart from a pool such as mini engine rides, shantytown, and pedal go-karts. However, your kid has to be toilet-trained before he/she can enter the pool. Swim diapers are not allowed in the pool here. There are two separate swimming areas - one for the adults and the second one for the toddlers. After you and your little one enjoy your swim and the other attractions of the park, grab some delicious snacks at either Granny Smith’s or Fungo Sandwich Shop. The pool is a short walk from Yutenji or Ikejiri-Ohashi Stations.

5. Tanihata Swimming Pool

Tanihata Swimming Pool is situated within Tokyo’s Minamiyatabata Park and is another fantastic outdoor pool option for you and your kid. In the evenings, you have to take part in a meeting for lottery reservation to use it. Depending on the water temperature or the climate, the pool may be temporarily suspended or closed. You are not allowed to take pictures of the pool. As such, no mobile phones, videos, or cameras are allowed at the poolside. Diaper pants are not allowed in the pool and people with certain diseases would not be able to use the pools. It is better not to come here with your pets else you may be stopped from entering the pool.

This is another great outdoor swimming pool in Tokyo. Situated in Ota City, East Chōfu Park Pool, the outdoor pools are typically available here in the months of July and August. There is also an indoor swimming pool, which remains functional until 9pm. However, you are allowed to swim for as long as you want to. Additionally, the outdoor swimming pool typically is less crowded as compared to other areas. So, come here with ample time in your hand and swim as long as you wish to.

Heiwajima Park Pool is a great option for taking your kids swimming in Tokyo. It is a 5-minute walk from the city’s Heiwajima Station and around 15 minutes from Leisureland Heiwajima Bus Stop. There is a separate pool for students of elementary school and above and an infant swimming pool for preschoolers who are more than three years old. However, the infant pool is not accessible after 6pm. An infant should come here with a student of a high school or an older person. Each adult can come here with a maximum of two infants. Non-swimsuits and personal clothes are not permitted inside the pool.

Waiwai Swimming Pool is a great public pool for your little ones in the city. An adult should accompany groups of preschoolers (in proper swimming attire) before entering the pool. Each parent can bring a maximum of two preschooler kids with them. If one wants to use the pool in a group, they should get in touch with the office of the park management to avoid crowds. Kids with shoes, watches, or other accessories are not allowed to use the pool. People suffering from an infectious disease, symptoms of cold, or diarrhoea cannot enter the pool.
