Alongside Thailand and Vietnam, Indonesia holds a dear place in the hearts of backpackers. Why? Friendly people, awesome nature, unique cuisine and hostels, where memories are made. You might have heard of Bali. Let us introduce you to Nusa Penida, a photogenic island southeast of Indonesia’s island Bali. Apart from being highly Instagrammable, hilly, and natural, it is still less touristy than Bali. Some people just take a day trip here but it is worth a stay. So, how about accommodation? Head to Nusa Penida and enjoy stunning views and comfy beds at one of our best backpacker hostels in Nusa Penida!

We handpicked these listings carefully, considering (wherever possible) Superhost status, recent guest reviews, location, accommodation type, prices, availability of dates, decor, and amenities. The image galleries get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on April 08, 2024.

Secret Penida Nusa Penida Island

I highly recommend eating at Secret Penida, which is only a 15-minute ride from this hostel. We loved this restaurant so much that we ate there almost every night of our stay on the island. Other places I recommend visiting are Kelingking Beach, Angels Billabong and Broken Beach, which are all within a 40-minute drive. These amazing natural beauties are worth seeing in person!
