Hike to the beautiful Laguna Paron

Huaraz is considered the hiking capital of Peru, where you can embark on some of the most scenic treks in the country. Located within Huascaran National Park, Laguna Paron is the largest lake in the Cordillera Blanca. It is surrounded by several snow-capped mountain peaks, such as the 5,885-m (19,308-ft) tall Pirámide. You can either visit it as part of a long day trip or on a multi-day hike. The striking views are worth the 8 hours (roundtrip) on an incredibly bumpy road!
