The tea factory has been already closed for a few years. But, it’s still worth the time to visit the green fields of Gunung Mas Tea Plantation. Here, you’ve got nothing to do but invest your time to walk around and breathe in the fresh air and calm your eyes with the cooling scenery.

You can also try out the tea from the available tea shops around the plantation as long as you’re cautious of some overpriced products.

Cibodas Botanical Garden was built in 1852 by the Dutch botanist Johannes Elias Tejisman on the slopes of Mount Gede. Because of its high-altitude location, you’ll be able to see here various sub-tropical plants and even trees which you won’t expect to see in Indonesia such as cherry blossom trees. Different breeds of deer roam around the farm of Penangkaran Rusa Cariu. Here you can get to know the deer breeds such as the Cheetal Deer and the Javanese Deer. You can also feed them sweet potatoes and carrots, which can be available for purchase in the farm.

The farm, located in Buana Jaya Village, is also a good camping spot that can accommodate up to 200 people.

7. Have an easy hike at Gunung Batu Jonggol

Going to Puncak will never be complete without going for a hike or two (if you really like this activity!). For beginners who’re willing to go through steep slopes, you can hike at the Gunung Batu Jonggol.

It can take around 1.5 to 2 hours of hiking before you reach the top. After the long walk and the different challenges that require you to climb up ropes, you’ll witness a gorgeous view of Puncak. You can also catch the sunset if you’ve decided to hike in the afternoon.

8. Have a taste of Sundanese arts and culture at the Sindang Barang Cultural Village

The Sundanese are the second largest ethnic group of Java, Indonesia, after the Javanese. In Sindang Barang Cultural Village, you can get to know the society, arts, and culture. Here you can find yourself back in the ancient times with their traditional village and ceremonies.
