Have you ever wondered what it would be like to experience luxury, comfort, and heritage under the same roof? Trip101 partnered with Singaporean travel content creator Cynera Clement to find out. Ascott Raffles Place Singapore is set in a restored building from the 1950s, lending it a cozy vintage vibe that contrasts wonderfully with Singapore’s sleek modernity. Its art-deco exterior is a feast for the senses, while its interiors offer soothing earthy tones.
The hotel is located in the city’s Central Business District, a nightlife hub, making it perfect for visitors who enjoy high-energy environments. Just steps from its door, you’ll find Merlion Park and its famous stark-white statue of the Merlion. This globally recognized icon of Singapore has the head of a lion, with its mane blending into scales that form a fishtail at the end.

Address: No. 2 Finlayson Green
A stylish retreat: Cutler Suite Studio
Cynera stayed in this cozy two-person studio equipped with everything one might need for a quick getaway. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by a hallway that opens up to a sleeping-cum-living area, which Cyanera described as spacious.
Along with a plush couch for lounging, there’s a small work area where you can catch up on your correspondences. The bed, of course, is equipped with soft linens for a good night’s sleep. Pride of place, however, goes to the large window opposite the bed that looks out onto high-rise buildings and buzzing streets.
The room also offers a washer and dryer and a well-equipped kitchen for your convenience. Moreover, you can take advantage of housekeeping services to kick back and relax.
Beyond the room: What to do in Ascott Raffles Place Singapore
“One of the things I love the most about Ascott is their focus on guest experiences,” Cyanera mentioned. And the hotel surely proves her right, going above and beyond to ensure that guests find nothing lacking in its offerings. You have access to a 24-hour front desk for any queries or requests. Apart from that, a gym and a glorious infinity pool are also available, with the pool being “the icing on the cake” for Cynera, who praised the view.
Fun events are organized throughout the year here, such as Blissfulness in a Bottle. Open till January 31, 2024, this event will have you putting your nose to the test with a selection of 27 fragrance notes that you can mix to create your own signature scent.
Other conveniences here include laundry/dry cleaning and babysitting services, which families will appreciate. There’s even a business center to ensure you don’t fall behind in the office.
Fusion delights: What to eat in Ascott Raffles Place Singapore

Prepare to be absolutely floored by the culinary prowess of this hotel’s bistro, which serves Asian fusion delicacies. Not only is it open for both lunch and dinner, but it also serves an irresistible breakfast every day from 7 am. However, do keep in mind that lunch and dinner are not available on weekends and public holidays. If you’re exhausted after exploring the city, you can also opt for room service between 11:30 am and 10:00 pm on weekdays.
Should you feel the need for something to wash your food down with, there’s a bar on level one that’s open on weekdays.
Ascott Raffles Place Singapore: A study in luxury
